Hackney FTC Seminar
The Foundation Training Company Seminar took place on September 17 2009 at our Hackney Centre.
The format of the day was informal and the aim was to show how the project has developed and how partnerships have been formed. The day was scattered with success stories where people gave a talk about how The Foundation Training Company has played a positive role in their lives, by either being now employed by FTC, staying trouble-free for a number of years and being awarded Learner of the Year both regionally and nationally to name but a few.
Our staff also talked of their various roles for FTC amongst which our Support Worker detailed his personal skills which include immigration and law and our Resettlement Tutor gave an insight into the challenges involved that arise from working with our client group. The key speaker of the day from Safer London Foundation's Aspire Project gave a talk about employer engage, provoking discussion with attendees of the entire seminar.
All feedback was extremely positive and FTC offers huge thanks to all involved.
